Piya Pangsapa, Assistant Professor of Women's Studies at UB, will give a talk entitled "Economic Development and the Politics of Cross-Border Migration in the Greater Mekong Sub-Region" in Park Hall 280.

Dr. Pangsapa's recent work looks at the complexities of the migrant labor situation as a consequence of rapid economic development in the greater Mekong
sub-region, and explores human rights, labor standards, environmental sustainability, and corporate responsibility within the global supply chain.

As with all Gender Week events, this talk is free and open to the public.
