The Mexico Solidarity Network Presents:

Gabriela Martinez Lopez, from CAPISE in the Mayan Highlands of Chiapas, Mexico, a sociologist and researcher who focuses on collective rights of indigenous communities, fair trade and women's cooperatives; and

Mujeres por la Dignidad (Women for Dignity), a cooperative of several hundred Zapatista indigenous weavers in Chiapas.

Co-sponsors include the UB Department of American Studies, The Hispanic Women's League, the Indigenous Women's Initiative, UB Gender Institute, UB American Studies GSA, UB Anthropology GSA, and the LASC Task Force of WNY Peace Center.
