The Institute for Research and Education on Women and Gender announces a 2008-2009 Major Grant Application Review for UB faculty seeking NIH or NSF-type funding for scientific research on women and gender.  The Review, to be held in Spring 2009, will provide feedback on scientific merit from two prominent reviewers in the field.  The application process will also be strategized.  The review session will be summarized and confidential feedback provided for the applicant.

Application Guidelines: 

UB faculty should submit a completed draft of a major grant application following the guidelines required by the grant institution.  Applications should also include a cover letter addressed to the Gender Institute.

Review process:

Completed applications are due to the Gender Institute office on March 1, 2009.  Applications will be scored and ranked by the Gender Institute’s Research Committee on a competitive basis.  Up to 3 awards will be announced in March 2008 for reviews to be held in April 2009.
